Our first Long Course Meet of the year was upon us quickly.  It was exciting for the younger kids on the team to jump in to the 50 meter pool in Carbondale and start churning through the water.  We always have to remind kids when doing a 100 of any stroke, with Long Course it is only two lengths of the pool!  As a team, we started off with a bang, swimming to 73% total of new best times! CSP Tideriders attending the meet did an outstanding job at...

Last night was our 35th annual CSP Tideriders Award and Recognition Dinner and we were filled to capacity.  It was a standing room only event!  Thanks so much to all that helped to make this another memorable night.  We wanted to share with everyone our booklet from the night, along with the winners.  Check the website next week to see pictures of all the fun and award winners! 1 p style="text-align: center;">

The Women's 400...

This year for Swim a Thon, Age Group, Junior Varsity, Varsity and Senior Swimmers who raised over $125 were invited to a movie with the coaches.  On Saturday, 84 athletes attended “Oz the Great and Powerful” along with many coaches.  It was great to see all of our athletes getting to enjoy some fun time away from the pool with their team mates.  We appreciate all the hard work these kids and their families did to make this year’s swim a thon the most successful ever for the CSP Tideriders....

CSP went in to the 8 & Under Championships with high hopes for another team victory, and our young swimmers did not disappoint.  After a tough battle, where the girls won their age group and the boys came in third, CSP as a team came out on top once again.   The 8 & Unders were led by Girl’s High Point Winner Sarah Donohue, while Sammy Esparza came in second! Winning events for the 8 & Under Girls were Sarah Donohue and Sammy Esparza.  Placing in the Top 8 were...

The 2013 Ozark Division I Champs will go down as one of the closest meets in a long time.  After Friday night swims, CSP was in third place, 29 points out of second and 86 points out of first.  Following Saturday morning swims, CSP fell further behind, being outdistanced by 83 points for second and a whopping 137 points out of first.  Then we came to Saturday night finals.  We went in to Finals that night with more swims than any other team, and our swimmers stepped up and performed...

This year Lanette and Mark challenged Age Group, Junior Varsity, Varsity and Senior swimmers to acheive 75% participation for the Swim a Thon.  The deal was that Mark wouldn't shave or cut his hair until after all the money was collected and if the kids met their goals, then they would get to choose how he looked for an entire week.  Well, as you can tell from the pictures they met, and exceeded the goal the coaches set for them.  They actually acheived 80% participation this year.  Mark held up...

The Division II Championship held at Lindbergh High School and Rockwood Summit High School was a great success for the CSP Tideriders.  As a team, CSP earned 11 new “A” times and 101 new “BB” times!  Being a prelim/final meet was also quite exciting for the kids.  There was music playing as the kids were walked out to the blocks prior to each event at finals.  We also walked away with some High Point Awards from the meet this weekend.  Matthew Hillmer and Maddoc McGowan (10 & Under Boys) finished...
