Every year, USA Swimming athletes are swimming many events within many meets.  USA keeps track of two different rankings, one called the IMX and the other is IM Ready.  To place within the IMX, a swimmer must compete in the following events to qualify: 10 & Under:  200 Free, 100 Back, 100 Breast, 100 Fly, and 200 IM 11 – 12 Year Olds:  500 Free, 100 Back, 100 Breast, 100 Fly and 200 IM 13 & Older:  500 Free, 200 Back, 200 Breast, 200 Fly, 200 IM & 400 IM...

CSP hosted it's first intra squad meet of the season for the Age Group, JV, Varsity, Senior II & Senior swimmers at Westminster Christian Academy.  This meet was an opportunity for our athletes to establish times in the 200 Free and 200 IM and we ended with a 25 Free for everyone.  It was a great meet with loads of fast times!  If you haven't seen the meet results on the meet mobile app, you can click here for the results. USA Swimming has just announced their 2012/2013 Scholastic All-American list and CSP's Luke Sloan was on the list. To be on the list an athlete must be a sophmore or higher in high school, must have a 3.5 GPA or higher, and must be faster than at least one of the swimming time standards set by USA Swimming. Congratulations to Luke on achieving such a great accomplishment. Luke goes to Saint Louis University High School and is a member of the Elite group.  

This year CSP has set aside $5000 in Splash Aid for families that may need assistance.  For the 2013 – 2014 Season, Splash Aid has been awarded.  At this time we are taking no more requests for this season, however in May of 2014, we will open up Splash Aid again for the 2014 – 2015 Season.  Thanks so much to all of you for being part of the CSP Tideriders.

Our own Colleen Young, a member of the Elite group, just competed for the USA at the Parlympic World Championships in Montreal, Canada. Colleen won 3 medals at the Championships. She took Silvers in the 100 meter Breaststroke and the 100 meter Backstroke. She took Bronze in the 400 meter Free. Congratulations to Colleen on such a fantastic meet.  

Lexi Daniels broke a long standing team record in the 1500 Free for the 13 - 14 girls, and placed Top 8 in her 400 Free, 800 Free, 1500 Free, 200 IM and 400 IM.  She also placed in the Top 16 in the 200 Breast.  Lexi was also a part of two medley relays. During the past week CSP was represented by Justin Andrews, Samm Crocker, Rachel Kokenyesi, Melissa Melnich, Luke Sloan, and Lydia Welty at the NCSA Junior National Meet held at IUPUI in Indianapolis, Indiana. This group did an awesome job competing and representing CSP. One Team record was broken when Samm, Melissa, Lydia, and Rachel broke the Open Girls 200 Free Relay record. Lydia made the Consolation Final in the 200 Breaststroke coming in 13th place. Samm made the Bonus Final in the 50 Free coming in 21st place. Luke made...
