HEAT Lightning Meet Results
Coming off Division I Champs, we had quite a few swimmers compete in the HEAT Lightening Meet. Winning High Point Awards were Koji Barrette (10 & Under Boys), Abbey Owenby (11 – 12 Girls), Mikayla Kempf (13 – 14 Girls) and Jeffrey Martin (13 – 14 Boys). We also had a number of athletes place in the Top 3 in their Age Groups for High Point. Those swimmers were Danny Gao (2nd 10 & Under Boys), Caroline Roderick and Rebecca Crane (tied for 2nd 10 & Under Girls), Alex Miller (3rd 11 – 12 Boys), Christina Jurotich (2nd 13 – 14 Girls), Katie Brodersen (3rd 13 – 14 Girls) and Matthew Hillmer (3rd 13 – 14 Boys).
In the 10 & Under Age Group, winning individual events were Koji Barrette, Rebecca Crane,Maya Esparza, Danny Gao, Maddoc McGowan andCaroline Roderick. Placing in the Top 8 were Nolan Alper-Esko, Anna Scott Baur, Lewis Dennison, Henry Hardeman, Sarah Hickenbotham, Evan Holden, Eric Ji, Madigan Kinsey, Amelia Koch, Catherine Liao, Ryan Mauney, Graham Mills, Olivia Morales, Amy Pumm, Ingrid Stahl, Sophie Thompson and Michael Tu.
Finishing in the Top 16 were Avery Bantrup, Catherine Bartling, Lauren Becker, Margaret Beimdiek, Chase Bouchein, Steven Busch, Payton Hoekel, Ryan McKenzie, McClain Suelthaus, Jason Xu and Adam Zhao. Also swimming at the HEAT meet were Nicole Alper-Esko, Robert Bilderback, Sophie Bragg, Caroline Cooper, Clay Derdeyn, Isabella Francois, Callie Kaplan, Charles Krasnoff, Riley Matthews and Zoe Shanks.
In the 11 – 12 Age Group, winning individual events were Aaron Garner, Alex Miller, Abbey Owenby and Drew Willmann. Placing in the Top 8 were Lauren Beard, Nicole Beard, Alexander Benduski, Rachel Crane, Allie Hickenbotham, Stevie Keyes, Katie Knapp, Andrea Morales, Hutton Murdoch, Cami Nourie and Michael Raskin.
Finishing in the Top 16 were Thad Bilderback, Eva Farria and Jan Kasal, while Martha Geering and Ivy Goldson also competed at the meet.
In the 13 - 14 Age Group, winning individual events were Katie Brodersen, Matthew Hillmer, Christina Jurotich, Mikayla Kempf, Jeffrey Martin and Iyayi Ogbevoen. Placing in the Top 8 were Tristan Belzer, Riley Deutsch, Peri George, Sydney Giacin, Sammy Keyes, Corrine Michael and John Tschampel. Finishing in the Top 16 were Erica Lee, Erin McKenzie and Riley Schelp while also swimming at the HEAT meet were Nicole Kasal and Monet Mohler.
