CSP Tideriders kicked off the 2025-2026 short course season this past weekend with a successful meet in Cape Girardeau. More than 150 swimmers represented our team, showcasing great energy and enthusiasm. It was wonderful to see everyone back in action, racing hard, and welcoming new faces to our program. Sydney Schoeck, a member of our Elite Group, has been named to the 2025/2026 National Junior Team. This marks the 2nd straight year Sydney has been selected. Sydney also qualified in 4 events, which tied her with 2 other female swimmers for the most events. Sydney qualified in the 200 Back, 400 IM, 800 Free and 1500 Free. IMX/IMR for the 2024 – 2025 Season was a banner season for the CSP Tideriders. USA Swimming automatically tabulates scores for IMX (IM Extreme) and IMR (IM Ready) for both Short Course and Long Course Seasons. For the Short Course Season, those swimmers with scores for IMX were 194 (one more than the previous season). On Day 1 of the USA Junior Nationals meet in Irvine, California Sydney Schoeck competes in the 800 Meter Free and takes 4th place. Her time of 8:41.91 is a new personal best. CSP sends 30 athletes to NCSA Junior Nationals in Huntsville, Alabama this past week. The group did a great job at the meet. We finished in 8th place as a combined Team. This year’s Ozark Long Course Champs was the 7th win in a row for this meet for the CSP Tideriders. Very seldom can a team win a meet more than 6 years in a row, so this is quite an accomplishment. CSP was the only team to be able to fill out all relays in all age groups, with some age groups even filling in extra relays.
