Congratulations to all the swimmers that participated in the meet this weekend. We had numerous records, best times, over achievers, and high point winners. As a team, CSP placed first in the girls division winning all four age groups (10 & Under, 11 – 12, 13 – 14 and 15 & Over). The boys as a team finished third, which was a group effort and helped by those swimmers who came to the meet to help score big points as members of relays. As a team, we finished in...
Day two of the A Champs turned in to another record breaking day for the Tideriders. Gabby Vieira established three more new records in one race, setting the 15-16 girls team and ozark record, while also setting the team record in the Open girls 100 back. Colleen Young continues to lower her own American Records in the breast stroke events in both the 100 and 200 breast. We had some great relays today as well, beginning with the 10 & Under girls team of Carly Fesler, Lauren Beard, Meg Bryan...
The CSP Tideriders conclude day one in second place! We are currently 19.5 points behind the first place team and 15 points ahead of third place team. We ended the morning session in fine fashion with the 13 - 14 Girls breaking the 800 Free Relay record that had stood since 1990! Congrats to Melissa Melnick, Lydia Welty, Erin Kelly and Lexi Daniels. Gabby Vieira set three new records in one event! She set the team record for 15-16 Girls and Open Girls, while also setting the Ozark Record for...
The HEAT Fall Classic this past weekend was just that, classic! This is our last meet prior to “A” Champs and the Tideriders came prepared to swim fast. CSP picked up 65 new “A” times heading in to our big meet in two weeks. We had the most swimmers at this meet, and more swimmers than we have had at any meet all season. With 189 athletes, CSP looked sharp individiually as well as in the relays, winning every single relay. Winning individual events with the 8 & Unders...
CSP Hosts Two Intra Squad Meets We had two intra squad meets this week and had some tremendous success at both. On Wednesday, October 17, we hosted the CSP Get Your A Meet at Westminster for Age Group, Junior Varsity, Varsity and Senior swimmers. This meet was designed for our athletes to have another chance at achieving their “A” times for the Championship Meet in November, and we had a number of great swims. Getting new “A” times in the 100 IM were Jack Bodnar, Meg Bryan, and Elizabeth Wiese. ...
For the second meet in as many weeks, the Tideriders looked great. Our swimmers achieved more “A” times, had 73% best times and set three new records! Colleen Young set two American Records in one race, breaking the 50 yard breast stroke as well as setting the 100 yard breast stroke American Record. Lydia Welty dominated the 200 IM and broke the Tiderider team record by .09, swimming to a time of 2:07.86. That record has stood since 1988. Way to go girls! This was also our first meet...
The first meet of the 2012 – 2013 Short Course Season was the FAST IMX Kickoff, and the CSP Tideriders were ready to perform. We had 167 athletes compete at the meet. That is one of our highest totals at a non CSP hosted meet! As a team we had 76% best times, which is outstanding. This meet is a different format than most meets. They had two different categories running this meet. The first category was the IMX Score, and to place in that you had to have...
CSP hosted it's first intra squad meet of the season last night for Age Group, JV, Varsity and Senior, and it was a huge success! We had over 120 athletes compete in the 200 Free as well as the 200 IM. As a team, CSP had over 83% best times, with a number of swimmers qualifying for either A Champs in November, or the 14 & Under Division I Champs being held in February. Congratulations to those swimmers who swam the 200 Free and 200 IM as their first event(s)...
