CSP Hosts Two Intra Squad Meets

We had two intra squad meets this week and had some tremendous success at both.

On Wednesday, October 17, we hosted the CSP Get Your A Meet at Westminster for Age Group, Junior Varsity, Varsity and Senior swimmers.  This meet was designed for our athletes to have another chance at achieving their “A” times for the Championship Meet in November, and we had a number of great swims.  Getting new “A” times in the 100 IM were Jack Bodnar, Meg Bryan, and Elizabeth Wiese.  In the 50 Fly, we had Lauren Beard and Ethan Doll.  Achieving new “A” times in the 50 Back were Carly Fesler, Aaron Garner, Cami Nourie and Caroline Roderick.  In the 50 Breast, Sophie Fredman, Alex Miller and Elizabeth Wiese got their “A” times, while Vaios Kouvelis got it in the 50 Free.  The 100 Back saw Lauren Beard, Jillian Behrens and Peter Crocker get, while so did Sophia Garland, Vaios Kouvelis, Corinne Michael, Cami Nourie and Mary Kathryn O’Leary all got “A” times in the 100 Free.  In the 100 Fly, Riley Deutsch, Max Goldenberg and Elisabeth Ragan got their “A” times, while in the 100 Breast, Nicole Beard, Rebecca Crane and Sophie Fredman also reached their goals.  All in all, we had 43 “A” times achieved and almost 70% best times for the meet.  Congratulations to all who participated and a big thanks to those of you who helped timed.  For complete results for the Get Your A Meet click here. 

On Saturday, October 20, 2012, we hosted the CSP Sprint Intra Squad Meet at Westminster for Beginner, Stroke Development, Developmental, Advance Stroke, Varsity and Senior Swimmers.  Our young novice swimmers were given some much needed meet experience, while our older athletes were able to participate in some 200’s of strokes.  As a team we had 71% best times.  Many great swims were achieved, and as always, thanks so much to those parents who helped time the meet.  Without your help we wouldn’t be able to have these meets.  For complete meet results on the Sprint Meet, just click here. 

A very special thanks to Kim Weiss, our Meet Referee, who takes care of organizing all of our officials for our meets.  Without the officials we could not run these meets for our athletes.  Thanks to our CSP Officials Joanne Graham, Rob Jurotich, Tania Hilmer, Fred Miller, and Dick Sant, as well as Gregg Hagerty and Lori Metz, for helping us make these meets a possibility.
