Congratulations to Annie Goessling, Taylor Maurer, Morgan Mullenix, Madison Qualy, and Maddie Wall for being named to the 2011-2012 USA Swimming Scholastic All-American Team. These 5 athletes had to be a sophomore or above in high school, have over a 3.5 GPA and meet the Junior National Bonus time standard for an event or compete in the USA Swimming Open Water Nationals. Today, September 8, Colleen raced in the 100 Breast and as the youngest Finalist in the group finished in a strong 5th place. Only .22 out of third place. Colleen's races have begun and she is off to a great start. On September 1st, Colleen raced in the 50 Free and placed 12th over all, with a life time personal best time :30.57. That event was won by American Kelly Becherer. On September 2nd, Colleen raced in the 100 Free and placed 9th overall, just missing out of the Finals that evening. Final day of central states senior champs ended with CSP girls winning the team title, the CSP boys placing second overall, and as a team, CSP won the whole meet. Congrats to all of those athletes who competed at this meet. Individually, Sarah Finlay finished 3rd in High Point for the girls. CSP walked away with 41 total medals.
