  CSP had two performances that made the USA Swimming National Age Group Top 10 list for the September 2008 through August 2009 swimming year. The 15-18 year old CSP Boys 200 yard Free Relay ranked 10th in the country. The relay consisted of  Will Derdeyn, Daniel Miller, Evan Noble, and Adam Sharp. Evan Noble was also ranked 3rd in the 17 year old Boys 200 meter IM. Congratulations to all 4 young men for achieving such a fine honor. 

The second meet of the year, the first for a number of our swimmers, was a marathon.  We had tons of great results at this meet and were very pleased with the overall performance of the Tideriders. Winning individual events were Tiger Chen, Maggie Cox, Megan Crenshaw, Ben Evra, Alex Glogoza, Annie Goessling, Easton Noble, Trey Ross, Michael Seifert, Maddie Wall, and Nicholas White.   Each year USA Swimming comes out with its Scholastic All-American list. This year CSP had 4 swimmers on that list for the 2008-2009 school year. Daniel Miller, Nate Weiss, Charles Du and Joyce Du were on the list. To make the list a swimmer has to be a sophmore, junior, or senior in high school and have a grade point average of 3.5 or better.  Evan Noble who swims in the Senior Elite group is named to the 2009-2010 USA National Youth Team. This is the 3rd straight year CSP has had a swimmer named to the National Youth Team. The criteria gets harder each year and this years group had to be an athlete 18 or under who is not entering college and ranks Top 6 in the country in an Olympic competed event.   CSP was well represented by Daniel Miller, Taylor Reynolds, Bobby Jones, Evan Noble, Adam Sharp, and Nate Weiss at the 2009 USA Junior National Championships in Federal Way, Washington this last week August 10th - the 14th. Jordan Cooper recently competed in the 2009 CanAm games and based on her excellent performances she was selected to be a member of the USA Youth Parapan American GamesSwim Team. Jordan placed first in the 50 and 100 meter Breaststrokes, 1st in the 100 Backstroke, and 3rd in the 50 meter Freestyle. She will represent the USA at the 2009 Youth Parapan American Games October 5th through the 25th in Bogota, Columbia. Congratulations Jordan on this tremendous accomplishment your coaches and team are very proud of  you.
