Summer Junior Nationals in Federal Way, Washington
CSP was well represented by Daniel Miller, Taylor Reynolds, Bobby Jones, Evan Noble, Adam Sharp, and Nate Weiss at the 2009 USA Junior National Championships in Federal Way, Washington this last week August 10th - the 14th. All three individual swimmers Daniel, Taylor, and Evan qualified for finals during the week. Daniel placed 15th in the 200 meter Free breaking his own Ozark and Team records in the event in a time of 1:52.76. Daniel is the fastest 200 meter Freestyler in Ozark history. Evan placed 21st in the 100 meter Backstroke in a personal best of 58.34 and placed 9th in the 200 IM while breaking both Ozark and Team records for that event and like Daniel becoming the fastest ever 200 IMer in Ozark history. Taylor finaled in the 50 meter Free placing 20th in a time of 26.46 which is the Team record in that event as well, and also broke her 17-18 girls 100 meter Free record in placing 34th in that event. Daniel, Evan, Bobby and Adam teamed up in the 400 Meter Free Relay to pace 40th in the event and broke both Team and Ozark records. The same quartet teamed up to place 34th in the 800 Free relay. Then Nate, Evan, Daniel, and Adam teamed up to swim the 400 Medley relay to place 20th and break both the Team and Ozark records as well.
Evan Noble with his time in the 200 IM qualified for the 2009-2010 USA National Youth Team. This marks the third straight year CSP has had a swimmer qualify for this team. Evan will find out in about a month which trip he will have the opportunity to participate in. Congratulations to Evan and all of our Junior National swimmers.
