Our first team Long Course meet of the year was a record-breaking meet for the Tideriders! Austin Chu set the Ozark Record in the 100 Fly for 11 – 12 Boys, a record that has stood since 1989! Niko Theodos and Trey Cunneen represented CSP at Open Water Nationals this past weekend in Fort Myers, Florida. Both young men swam well. Niko swam the National 5K on Sunday where he placed 23rd. Trey swam the Junior National 16-17 year old 7.5K also on Sunday and placed 22nd. These swims are done in the ocean. Both had a great experience and look forward to Open Water Zones in June. CSP sent 28 of its best athletes to NCSA Junior Nationals in Orlando, Florida. As a team we placed 18th overall, with the Boys placing 12th and the Girls placing 34th. The meet went great with 21 New Team Records and 4 New Ozark Records. A New Team Record was set on each day of the 5 day competition. CSP had 18 swimmers representing the team at Sectionals at the University of Missouri. This group took 23rd place as a combined team in the meet, 39th as a Men's team and 14th as a Women's team. CSP has once again won both the Girls and Boys at Ozark Senior Champs. This past weekend we competed at Kirkwood High School. CSP had 93 athletes representing our team.
