CSP has 13 Swimmers attend USA Speedo Junior Nationals in Austin, Texas

CSP sent 13 athletes to USA swimmings Speedo Junior Nationals West meet at the University of Texas this past week. Our athletes did a tremendous job through the 3 1/2 days. This group set Ozark and CSP records, won events, and won medals. As a team we placed in 8th place as a girls team and 11th place as a combined team.

23 Records set:

Sydney Schoeck won the 1000 and 1650 freestyles at the meet. Setting Ozark and Team 17/18 and Open records in both events. Sydney also took 2nd in both the 500 Free and 400 IM. In the 400 IM she set new Ozark and Team 17/18 and Open records. Sydney also podiumed in the 200 Backstroke with a 3rd place finish setting the Ozark & Team 17/18 record.

Emma Fouke got a medal for 5th place in the 200 Breaststroke setting Ozark and Team 13/14 records. She also placed 20th competing in the Bonus Final of the 200 IM and re-set her own Team 13/14 record.

Austin Chu got a medal for 8th place in the 200 Backstroke setting the Team 15/16 and Open records. He also placed 20th in the Bonus Final of the 100 Back setting the 15/16 boys Team record.

Girls A 800 Free Relay got 7th place medals and set both Ozark and Team Open records. Sydney Schoeck, Anna Grace Guenter, Lexi Cook and Emma Fouke.

Girls 400 Medley Relay took 14th place and also set both Ozark and Team Open records. Avery Cunneen, Emma Fouke, Sydney Schoeck, and Anna Grace Guenther.
