CSP Wins 3rd Straight Spring Sectionals Title and 4th in 5 Years

CSP wins 3^rd straight Spring Sectional Championship, our 4th victory in the last 5 years. This was a very successful meet for our team. We took 51 athletes and 49 relays, to this year’s meet at the University of Missouri. We were the biggest team at the meet again this year. In all we set 4 New Sectional Records, 31 New Team and Ozark Records, and had 3 new NCSA Junior National Qualifiers. Our girls team also won their 3^rd straight championship this year. Our boys team ended up in 4th place this year.  We also had the youngest male and female athletes competing at the meet and the youngest swimmers to make finals. We also won the Trophy for Most Medals, 5^th time we have won this award, earned at this meet with 49. Even though we lead from beginning to end, It was really a total team effort as we won by only 87 points.

Sectional Titles:

Sydney Schoeck won all 5 events she competed in while setting Sectional records in 4 of those races. The 200 Backstroke, 400 IM, 500 Free, and 1650 Free. The 1650 Free record was the oldest record at the meet having been set in 1986 and Sydney broke the record by 23 seconds.

Austin Chu won the 50 Backstroke. At 14 Austin was the youngest Champion at this meet. That swim ranked him 2^nd in the country for 14 year olds. His 100 Back and 200 Back times ranked him 1^st in the Nation for 14 year old boys.
