First Meet of 2025 is the Polar Dash
The first Short Course Meet of the Year 2025 was the Polar Dash, which was attended by our younger groups. They had a big turnout with the swimmers doing an amazing job at this meet.
With the 8 & Unders, winning events were Simon Becker, Benjamin Russell, and Ally Wei. Placing in the Top 8 were Thomas Brinton, Delaney Crutchfield, Emma Cunning, Leven Cunning, Eleanor Cusworth, Liliella Kaar, Kristof Labs, Sikander Manocha, Margaret Melly, Zakariyya Sanaullah, and Benjamin Wachter. Finishing in the Top 16 were Rayna Banerjee, Lennon Beath, Maya Ferris, Josephine Frye, Reuben Kaar, Noel Koenigsdorf, Leon Labs, Poppy Muckerman, Graham Rosen, and Xinqui Shen. Also swimming at the Dash were Chase Blauvelt, Ellie Blauvelt, Maryam Delic, Shea Gilbert Shipp, Maren Herbst, Finley Jacobs, Edith Mallonee, Finley McGinnis, Edward Melly, Gabriel Russell, Arjun Shah, and Anna Wachter.
In the 10 & Unders, winning events was David Boland, Vihaan Deore, and Tanner Koenigsdorf. Placing in the Top 8 were Isabelle Doyle, Lucas Liu, Owen Moore, Raymond Stoffel, Nathaniel Thompson, Aiden Wei, Maxwell Zhang, and Alice Zhao. Finishing in the Top 16 were Locke Carmichael, Theodore Collet, Parker Koke, Catherine Moritz, Georganne Pollnow, Carter Probst, Palmer Rand, and Timofey Ryazanov. Also swimming at the Polar Dash were Maya Bogdan, Caroline Capati, Harvey Glassman, William Gregerson, Benson Han-Walsh, Anna Loft, Shreya Shah, Charlotte Volk, Ada Vredenburgh, and Effie Young.
With our 11 – 12 Year Olds, finishing in the Top 8 were Max Etherington, Arya Kulkarni, and Ivan Ryazanov. Placing in the Top 16 were Julian Chang, Emilia Hahn, Ayida Mikael, Somasrikaran Pathuri. Also competing was Caroline Hahn, Wrenn Hartupee, Ari Kipnis, Graham Labs, Caleb Meyers, Andrew Qin, Mason Shi, Gabe Smiley, Allen Vogt, and Ryan Zheng.
In the 13 – 14 Age Group, Anastasia Alve, Peyton Lewis, Rohan Shah, Nazar Zarichanskyi, and Matthew Zheng all raced at the Polar Dash. Placing in the Top 8 were Alp Bozkurt, Maclin Brady, Nicholas Cox-Garleanu, and Reed Sehy. Scoring in the Top 16 were Christopher Carron, Anthony Gronski, and Lucas McGehee.
