2014 Central Sectional Champs Meet Report

Congratulations to our CSP athletes that competed all last week at the 2014 Summer Central Sectional Championships held at the University of Missouri. Our Team took 14^th overall out of more than 50 teams competing at the meet. Our Women’s Team placed 9^th and our Men’s Team placed 25^th.

Special individual accomplishments at the meet were achieved by Lexi Daniels who won the Women’s Distance Award. The award accumulates time in the 400 Free, 800 Free, 1500 Free, and 400 IM and the swimmer with the lowest time wins the award. Lexi also achieved new NCSA cuts in the 1500 Free, 400 Free and 400 IM. Sarah Finlay broke the 17-18 Girls Team record in the 200 Backstroke and also re-qualified for USA Junior Nationals for the event as well. Colleen Young set 2 new American Paralympic Records in the 100 and 200 meter Breaststrokes.  Justin Andrews achieved a new NCSA Junior National cut in the 200 Backstroke.
