Meet Me In St. Louis Meet Report
Wow! We don’t know what else to say at this point about the results from the meet this past weekend at the Rec-Plex. CSP showed up in force, with more than 150 athletes attending. There were NCSA Junior Cuts, Sectional Cuts and Zone Cuts achieved and even a new team record! With over 75% best times as a team, the coaching staff couldn’t have been more pleased.
In the 8 & Under Age Group, Lily Hsieh set a new team record in the 50 Free! Winning events were Aidan Brawer and Lily Hsieh. Placing in the Top 8 were Anya Desai, Everdine Ferguson, Luke Gill, Sadie Murphy, India Stuckenscheider and Henry Zucker. Finishing in the Top 16 were Juniper Asikainen, Vipul Bansal, Frederic Gaertner, Sydney Gross, Tyler He, Meg Willmann, Sophia Xu and Delia Zacks. Also swimming at the Meet Me in St. Louis Meet were Mary Gaertner, Ella Welch and Emma Welch.
In the 10 & Under Age Group, Maya Esparza, Sophie Henriksen and Lee Naber all qualified for Zones with AAA Times in the Back Stroke. Winning events were Anna Scott Baur and Sophie Henriksen. Placing in the Top 8 were Nolan Alper-Esko, Margaret Beimdiek, Sarah Donohue, Maya Esparza, Eric Ji, Catherine Liao, Ryan Mauney, Cameron McCrary, Lee Naber, Sophie Thompson and Graham Zucker. Finishing in the Top 16 were Izzy Destefano, Sara Dodson, Sammie Esparza, Collin Logsdon, Kaia Mills-Lee, Ethan Nagasako and Andrew Smock. Also swimming this past weekend were Nicole Alper-Esko, Shaan Ansari, Katherine Bias, Nat Bilderback, Clay Derdeyn, Amelia Dino, Heidi Gaertner, Taylor Hamrah, Morgan Hast, Olivia Hattrich, Charlie Krasnoff, Jasmine Li, Spencer Ma, Brendan O’Meara, Alicia Palatt, Brendan Raskin and Alexis Warren.
In the 11 – 12 Age Group, achieving new Zone Cuts were Payton Dunn and Drew Willmann. Winning events was Drew Willmann, while placing in the Top 8 were Lauren Beard, Meaghan Cannon, Payton Dunn, Jackson Fox, Sophie Fredman and Michael Tu. Finishing in the Top 16 were Katie He, Graham Mills, Maddie Palatt, Kaitlyn Rowbottom and Noah Unger. Also swimming this past weekend were Avery Bantrup, Preston Brouillet, Lewis Dennison, Audrey Dino, Graham Fredman, Gary Gaertner, Mary Hattrich, Evan Holden, Sophia King, Isabelle McGuire, Olivia Morales, Amy Pumm, Noah Smock, Cora Vulin, Jason Xu and Jonah Zacks.
In the 13 – 14 Age Group, Brigid Andrews achieved a new Sectional time in the 200 Free, and Matthew Hillmer, Christina Jurotich and Abbey Owenby all got new Zone Cuts. Winning events was Taylor Korte, while placing in the Top 8 were Brigid Andrews, Alex Benduski, Katie Brodersen, Riley Deutsch, Aaron Garner, Peri George, Matthew Hillmer, Christina Jurotich, Abbey Owenby and Wil Welch. Finishing in the Top 16 were Nicole Beard, Jack Bodnar, Alex Fox, Matthew Graham, Cami Nourie, Sam Porter, Michael Raskin, Reid Rogers, Megan Ross and Jake Varela. Also swimming this past weekend were Lauren Bell, Federico Bonora, Claire Brouillet, Martha Geering, Caroline Liekweg and Riley Schelp.
In the 15 & Over Age Group, Evie Mauze qualified for the NCSA Junior National Meet in the 200 Back, and Lexi Daniels, Benjamin Edwards, Sarah Finlay and Evie Mauze all achieved new Sectional Cuts. Winning events were Evie Mauze, Melissa Melnick and Gabriela Vieira. Placing in the Top 8 were Cameron Back, Tiger Chen, Ashley Daniels, Lexi Daniels, Benjamin Edwards, Sarah Finlay, Erin Kelly, Jeffrey Martin, Christopher Reichert, Lydia Welty, Helen Wojdylo and Colleen Young. Finishing in the Top 16 were Jillian Behrens, Colin Burke, Rebecca Corzine, Maggie Cox, Max Goldenberg, Mikayla Kempf, Vaios Kouvelis, Sophia Marusic, Michael Nester, Collin Schott and Nicole Shearing. Also swimming this past weekend were Jillian Franks, Audrey Kelly, Andrew Litteken, Iyayi Ogbevoen, Mary O’Leary and Bridget Sheridan.
