Rec Plex Fall Festival Meet Report
The first meet of the year was outstanding and the Tideriders made a great showing! Congrats to all who attended this meet. Our entry was one of the biggest we have ever sent to a meet, having 184 swimmers sign up to attend this meet. Also, congratulations go out to Colleen Young who set the American Record for Paralympic Swimmers in the 200 Breast Stroke at the meet.
In the 8 & Under Age Group, winning individual events were Madeleine Collier and Dan Gao. Placing in the top 8 were Anna Baur, Margaret Beimdiek, Lewis Dennison, Maya Esparza, Sammie Esparza, Graham Fredman, Justin Goldenberg, Madeline Palatt, Katherine Roderick and Sophia Thopmson. Joseph Carmody placed in the Top 16 and Ruth Crane also competed at the Rec Plex Fall Festival.
In the Relays, the 8 & Unders went undefeated! In the Girls Medley and Free Relays, Madeleine, Madeline, Anna and Maya won, while Justin, Lewis, Graham and Joseph won the Boys Free Relay.
In the 10 & Under Age Group, winning individual events were Andrew O’Brien andWil Welch.
Placing in the Top 8 were Koji Barrette, Lauren Beard, Benjamin Blinder, Rebecca Crane, Ben Evra, Alex Fox, Bailey Hahn, Joni Halliday, Nancy Hulslander, Lena Liang, Megan Ross andElizabeth Wiese. Placing in the Top 16 were Harriet Bezzant, Meghan Bryan, Laura Carmody, Ben Covington, Ethan Doll, Ben Dubinsky, Eva Farria, Jackson Fox, Sophia Fredman, James Hereford, Ellen Killeen, Matthew Ng, and Caroline Roderick. Also swimming with the 10 & Under Girls were Mattie Bryant and Olivia Morales.
In the Girls Medley Relay, Caroline, Lena, Rebecca and Meghan were 2nd, Laura, Elizabeth, Nancy and Lauren were 4th, and Alex, Harriet, Bailey and Sarah Hickenbotham were 6th. In the Free Relays, Rebecca, Nancy, Lauren and Megan won, while Alex, Bailey, Joni and Lena were 4th, and Meghan, Jane Baur, Eva and Sophia were 7th.
In the Boys Medley Relays, Noah Unger, Wil, Ben and Andrew won, while Dan, Ben, Koji and Ben were 3rd. In the Free Relays, Ben, Jimmy, Wil and Andrew won and Ben, Ethan, Koji and Ben were 3rd.
In the 11 – 12 Age Group, winning events were Tiger Chen, Lexi Daniels, and Melissa Melnick. Placing in the Top 8 were Katie Brodersen, Natalie Crocker, Charlie Eversman, Avery Fredman, Aaron Garner, Peri George, Max Goldenberg, Matthew Graham, Katie Jackson, Christina Jurotich, Leda Liang, Sophia Marusic, Eve Mauze, Alex Miller, Abbey Owenby, Anna Reichert andJake Varela. Top 16 were Brigid Andrews, Michaela Bach, Tristan Belzer, Alexander Benduski, Jack Bodnar, Sophie Breitmeyer, Caroline Davis, Lucas Doll, Luyi Gao, Carlye Goldenberg, Katie Knapp, Cami Nourie, John Tschampel, John David Wiese andWill Young. Also competing with the 11 – 12 Age Group were Spencer Anderson, Nicole Beard, Maria DeBellis, Lilly Eversman, Erin McKenzie, Andrea Morales, Hannah O’Brien, and Mary Sztukowski.
In the Girls Medley Relays, Eve, Lexi, Melissa and Anna won, while Natalie, Katie, Peri and Sophia were 2nd, Abbey, Christina, Sophie and Brigid were 3rd, Leda, Katie, Caroline and Katie were 5th, and Alexa Kouvelis, Rachel Crane, Allison Hickenbotham and Cami were 8th. In the Free Relays, Lexi, Sophia, Anna and Melissa were 1st, Natalie, Christina, Brigid and Eve were 2nd, Leda, Abbey, Katie and Peri were 3rd, Katie, Katie, Caroline and Willa Nagy were 5th, Sydney Giacin, Sophie, Cami and Carlye were 7th, and Courtney Knapp, Rachel, Alexa and Michaela were 8th.
In the Boys Medley Relays, John David, Tiger, Matthew and Jack won, while Alex, Luyi, Aaron and Jake were 3rd, and Joel Hsieh, Will, Dixon Bezzant and Lucas were 6th. In the Free Relay Tiger, John, Jack and Max 1st, while Matthew, Aaron, Alex and Jake were 3rd, and Lucas, Will, Avery and Charlie were 4th.
In the 13 – 14 Age Group, winning individual events were Justin Andrews, Maggie Cox, Sarah Finlay, Audrey Kelly, and Collin Schott. Placing in the Top 8 were Elizabeth Barrett, Connor Bryant, Rebecca Corzine, Peter Crocker, Ashley Daniels, Benjamin Edwards, Morgan Garner, Eric Graham, Erin Kelly, Vaios Kouvelis, Nicole Maurer, Michael Nester, Iyayi Ogbevoen, Mary Kathryn O’Leary, Steven Shearing, Bridget Sheridan, Samantha Shively, Julia Tackes, Lydia Welty, Colleen Young andToby Young. Placing in the Top 16 were Aditya Cowsik, Katherine Gelfand, Megan Lenzen, Mary Rater, and Nicole Shearing. Also competing, Jillian Behrens, Grace Fesler, Elaina Grimm, Kristen McKenzie, Dani Skor, Micaela Stoner, and Lizzie Wolfgram.
In the Girls Medley Relays, Sarah, Maggie, Nicole and Lydia were 1st, while Elizabeth, Erin, Rebecca and Audrey were 2nd, Bridget, Colleen, Mary Kathryn and Ashley were 4th, Nicole, Mary, Samantha and Julia were 5th, and Samantha Gill, Megan, Morgan and Katherine were 8th. In the Free Relays, Maggie, Lydia, Nicole and Audrey were 1st, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Ashley and Erin were 3rd, Colleen, Sammy Bale, Lizzie Baker and Nicole were 5th, Julia, Mary Kathryn, Bridget, and Samantha were 6th, and Sophia Garland, Sophie Allen, Mary and Samantha were 7th.
In the Boys Medley Relays, Michael, Benjamin, Iyayi and Justin were 2nd and Collin, Toby, Peter and Steven were 3rd. In the Free Relays, Justin, Iyayi, Collin and Steven were 1st while Vaios, Peter, Toby and Michael were 3rd.
In the 15 & Over Age Group, winning events were Samm Crocker, Hadley Edwards, Annie Goessling, Rachel Kokenyesi, Elizabeth Krane, and Hunter Mehring. Placing in the Top 8 were Cam Back, Laura Bilsborrow, Haley Debandt, Sarah Fauska, Jack Finlay, Meghan Glogoza, Julia Herbig, Adam Hotaling, Easton Noble, Etinosa Ogbevoen, Masha Podokshik, Ashley Reichert, Christopher Reichert, Bradley Riew, Gigi Rill, Rebecca Schachtman, Michael Seifert, Luke Sloan, and Grace Stiegemeyer. Placing in the Top 16 were Meghan Bach, Jillian Franks, Ellie George, Emily Highlander, Erin McBride, Riley Merdinian, Claire Rater, Nicholas Reichert, and Jonathan Scholten. Also competing were Harry O’Gorman and Madeline Trimble.
In the Medley Relays, Rachel, Annie, Elizabeth and Etinosa won for the Girls, while Masha, Hadley, Grace and Julia were 2nd, Ashley, Meghan, Claire and Sarah were 4th, Ellie, Meghan, Samm and Erin were 5th, and Riley, Rebecca, Lizzie Green and Jillian were 6th. In the Free Relays, Samm, Masha, Rachel and Sarah were 1st, Etinosa, Julia, Elizabeth and Grace were 2nd, Ashley, Meghan, Gigi and Jillian were 4th and Ellie, Hadley, Haley and Erin were 5th.
In the Boys Medley Relays, Jack, Easton, Luke and Hunter won, while Christopher, Bradley, Michael and Nicholas were 3rd. In the Free Relays, Hunter, Easton, Luke and Michael were 1st while Christopher, Bradley, Adam and Nicholas were 4th.
