CSP Repeats as Speedo Sectional - Region VIII Spring Champions

CSP repeated as Spring Sectional Champions, our 3^rd victory in the last 4 years, and broke 3,000 points for our first time. We took 59 athletes and 55 relays, our largest team ever, to this year’s meet at the University of Missouri. We were the biggest team at the meet again this year. Our girls team also repeated this year and scored an incredible 2,068 points. Our boys team ended up in 2^nd place this year.  We also had the youngest male and female athletes competing at the meet and the youngest swimmers to make finals. We also won the Trophy for Most Medals earned at this meet with 50. Despite this meet being long course we had many great performances, new cuts, and best times. It was really a total team effort.

Amazing Swims:

Sydney Schoeck won the 200 Backstroke and qualified for Olympic Trials, while breaking the Sectional meet record and Ozark Record at the same time. Sydney is our first qualifier for this summer’s Olympic Trials. Sydney also won the 400 IM just missing Olympic Trials and the 200 IM.
